Fr. David Bailey was licensed as the new Priest for Lound and Hemsby on 31st July, at the church of St. Mary the Virgin, Hemsby. We are delighted to welcome him, and after a long Interregnum of almost four years, look forward to working with him, and to his new ministry amongst us.
Fr. David has been in Plymouth for some seventeen years, so this is a big move for him. We hope he will be very happy here.
The Ven. Luke Irvine-Capel our new Bishop of Richborough, was unable to be at Fr. David’s Licensing, but we were delighted that he managed to visit us at a Hemsby coffee morning during the following week. It was great to meet him, and we are all hugely encouraged and inspired by his dynamic leadership. We hope we shall see him again soon, and that he will be able to take a service for us.
The new team is in place, and the future looks exciting!
