Our special service was really well attended, and was much enjoyed by all who came. We began in near darkness, with candles lit for the congregation as the Cantor processed up the aisle, singing the Advent Prose. The first Advent Candle was lit, followed by traditional Advent readings, hymns and prayers. The service was a very thoughtful occasion, creating an atmosphere of prayer, hope and expectation – a timeless, reflective preparation for Advent and the miracle of Christ’s birth in Bethlehem
