Our special service began in near darkness, with candles lit for the congregation as the Cantor processed up the aisle, singing the Advent Prose. The first Advent Candle was then lit and was followed by traditional Advent readings, hymns and prayers. The service created an atmosphere of prayer, hope and expectation – a timeless, reflective preparation for Advent and the miracle of Christ’s birth in Bethlehem
Despite awful weather, the service was well attended. Our thanks to Fr. Anthony Long from Hemsby who took the service for us.
